Last week whg Commercial Director Duncan Smith visited our Streethay scheme to witness the progress being made on site.
Duncan commented ‘I was kindly invited to visit the Burton Road site, by the Directors of Keon Homes. Upon arrival, I was struck by the scale and complexity of the off-site highways works and their relationship to the site entrance, which must have been tricky to successfully manage. Upon being invited into a couple of the properties, I was impressed with the quality of workmanship, echoed by whg’s quality manager who complimented the site manager on a variety of first fix activities. whg very much looks forward to the handover of these much needed affordable properties before Christmas 2021 and looks forward to bringing additional sites forward, in partnership with Keon Homes in the near future’.
Our first scheme with whg, Streethay development comprises of 14 houses and 6 apartments located in the historic town of Lichfield, providing some much needed affordable housing for the area.
Keon Homes Director Warren Bolton added ‘It was great to show Duncan and his team around our site in Streethay, Lichfield for the first time. We are encouraging all of our Client’s to safely visit our sites to see the progress and quality showcased. This site has had some particular challenges, not least the offsite s.278 work negotiated with Highways England and recently HS2. We hope to announce some new schemes with WHG in the near future and we look forward to leaving this scheme with whg later this year.’
We hope to welcome whg back to site soon and look forward to continuing our partnership.
